HUS

HUS Helsinki University Hospital is the biggest health care provider in Finland. Its expertise is internationally recognized and accredited. As a university hospital, it continuously develops and evaluates treatment methods and activities.

HUS is responsible for organizing specialized healthcare in the Uusimaa region. In addition, the treatment of many rare and severe diseases is nationally centralized to HUS. The hospital engages in groundbreaking university-level research and international collaboration. Its shared values – Caring, Equality and Pioneership – govern its actions. HUS promises to give better care, for every patient, every day.

  • This is what HUS brings to the ONCOVALUE consortium… HUS leads the ONCOVALUE consortium with a multidisciplinary team that has expertise in cancer treatment, information technologies, data analytics and EU project coordination.
  • HUS hopes that this consortium … will pave the way for structured data collection to become a part of standard clinical routines, supported by automation. The aim is to unlock the potential of real world data (RWD) for creating real world evidence (RWE) on the cost-effectiveness of new cancer therapies.
