The fourth ONCOVALUE consortium meeting took place on March 4-5, 2025, in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was a pleasure to see familiar faces as consortium partners gathered to discuss the progress of the project. A special thank you to Rigshospitalet for hosting and providing an excellent setting for productive discussions.
Over two days, participants had the opportunity to reflect on key milestones achieved and the important work ahead. A major focus of the meeting was the continued effort to integrate hospital real-world data (RWD) into health technology assessments (HTAs) and regulatory decision-making. By establishing this as a standard practice, we can improve oncology treatment evaluations and ensure that these decisions are made based on data that reflects real world outcomes.
Discussions covered various aspects of the project’s progress, including updates on ongoing studies, advancements in data analysis methods, and strategies for integrating RWD into decision-making processes. The meeting also highlighted efforts to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing among partners, ensuring that key findings can be effectively translated into practice.
Beyond the formal sessions, attendees had the opportunity to engage in networking and collaborative breakout discussions, strengthening cross-border collaboration and ensuring alignment across European partners. These interactions play an important role in advancing ONCOVALUE’s mission and fostering connections that continue to drive ONCOVALUE’s vision forward.
Looking Ahead
As we progress, the ONCOVALUE team is committed to ensuring that our ongoing validation efforts and collaborative initiatives enable the integration of real- world evidence (RWE) into oncology decision-making. We recognise that this is a complex and expansive topic, and continued advocacy for follow-up projects funded by the EU will be essential to further advance this important work.
We’re excited for our next consortium meeting, where we’ll share progress, exchange insights, and evaluate the project’s outcomes. It will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our partners. Stay tuned for more updates as we move ahead!
