Short biography
Kevin is pursuing a PhD at The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in the research group of Wim van Harten and Valesca Retèl. I am eager to apply my theoretical background in Econometrics to develop a future-proof framework for hospital real-world data (RWD) informed health technology assessment (HTA) in oncology.
Contribution to ONCOVALUE Research
As part of Work Package 2: ‘Future-proof HTA framework based on hybrid RWD collection‘ in ONCOVALUE, I focus on the methodological challenges of using (AI-generated) hospital RWD for health economic decision-making. In particular, I explore innovative RWD-based approaches and statistical methods to generate a new level of evidence for HTA.
By establishing an AI-based framework for assessing the real-life effectiveness of novel cancer treatments in real-time, I strive to further unlock the full potential of hospital RWD to improve oncology decision-making, patient outcomes, and healthcare practices.
